[v12-engine] fault codes » I’ve read lots of stuff about fault codes,but how do I find them? (Dumb question?) Does my 1986 v12 S3 provide them?Hope I’m not embarrassing myself. I’ve downloaded Kirby’s marvellous book, and bought a Mitchell CD manual (first try at on-line purchase, I found it just about completely useless, have ordered the JDHT ) and can’t find how to extract the codes.Searched archives too. [xj-s] Interesting Find About Radio Security Codes » During my transmission saga, the shop had left my battery disconnected for so long that the security code block cropped up when the battery was reconnected. I did not have the code # when I bought the car, so the shop had to remove the radio, get the serial #, call the local Jag dealership, and obtain the code from them. [xj-s] radio code » After the battery went dead, I recharged it on my 1988 xjs the radio it shows code I went thru all the paperwork that I recieved when I purchsed the car and I believe that I have found the code maybe… it was scrawlled on clear plastic then the po covered it over with some highlighter.As of right now the radio does not work My problem is that even if this is the right code I do not know how to program the radio. [xj-s] ABS pump constantly runs and ABS code 21 » I’ve got an '89 V12 with the Teves mkIII ABS unit. The car hasn’t been driven for about a month, so yesterday I took it for a spin and the brakes had no boost. The brake and ABS warning lights were on so I pulled the fault codes. I pulled a code 21 for a ‘‘main valve failure’’. I noticed the ABS pump runs constantly and doesn’t ever shut-off now, also the motor doesn’t make the same sound it used to when pressurizing the accumulator.
